These aren't the Best of the Best...
Now this isn't going to be a guide of the "Best of the Best" games those games are obvious this is going to be more of a list of the most fun games that I liked and would really recommend anyone to play with someone or solo. I can almost guarantee that by playing these games you will not be disappointed, but that's really going to depend what kind of games you like. I hope that you aren't a monogamous type of person and will only play on ONE system just because of being 'faithful' to them. Poo on that I say play what's good and that's all there is to it. Either way these games I've accrued over the years and have played more than once hope you enjoy! Leave Comments!!!
Oh and one last thing these are in alphabetical order, that's how I store my games they are not in order of best to not best or vice-versa.
Altair and Ezio
Assassin's Creed 1 & 2
Like climbing buildings and jumping from 25 stories into a bale of hay? Well then these games are for you, the story line is not too bad either... AC 1 and 2 are linked in their story line and I would recommend playing them in chronological order to get the full effect. It starts out you playing as Altair trying to stop the Templars in finding the "Piece of Eden" and in the end getting it back.
These games have their climactic points in the story line, the first one you kind of see it coming but it's interesting to see it fold out nonetheless.
The second games was much improved and that much greater and takes you to The Renaissance and starts out right where the last game left off and then continues with you becoming Ezio figuring out why you're father was executed. Story line was phenomenal and still continues with the main plot of the first, after playing this game to the end though will keep you wanting more. The last words spoken before the credits really captured me..."What The FUCK?!"
Batman: Arkham Asylum
I know that if you have played games you've attempted to play a super hero game time and time again and have been upset at the poor graphics, poor gameplay, poor setup, poor story line, poor...well you get the point and probably know all too well that super heroes and games shouldn't mix...usually.
Fortunately for once the guys over at Rocksteady and Eidos studios had some folks that weren't sleeping on the job and actually did their jobs. They made a game that wasn't based on the story with visually satisfying graphics, amazing looking characters, great story line and best of all the controller setup isn't all jacked up! This game is one of the easier games I've played but fun regardless. I first started this game on hard and had some difficulty on a few of the bosses but prevailed in the end. It brings in all types of villains and my personal favorite Harley Quinn, (she's hot!) Croc, and Bane are in there too. You may have had a horrible experience in the past playing bad super hero games but this game makes up for all of those in one fell swoop! You owe it to yourself to play this game, you won't regret it.

Cell shading done right! Borderlands was one of my favorite games that I have played because I love RPG's (Role Playing Games) and I also enjoy the occasional shooter. This game puts the best of both worlds into your hands along side with rocket shooting shot guns, machine guns that shoot 12 bullets at a time, sniper rifles that shoot exploding bullets and handguns that shoot napalm bullets. Should I even go on?
I know I shouldn't but I will, this game I actually put off buying until after it went down and regret doing so because I missed out a lot of co-op with my co-op buddy that I once played with. This game is a great game playing solo but playing with a friend amplifies the effect by at least 7! The story line is ok but it's almost that way with all RPG type games it's about the game play not the story line. Tons of loot all over the place had me yelliing "loot"! for hours on end and trying to get all the little trophies like killing 1000 people with headshots or with shotguns.
Over all this game is meant to be played with +2-4 people which makes the game all that much more fun but can easily be enjoyed solo as well.
Did I mention you can fight your own team member? Just go up to them and melee them, have them return the favor then...ITS ON!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Demon's Souls
If you are a hardcore RPG fan such as myself you will appreciate this game. The only downside make sure to have a few spare controllers on hand.
Why? you ask well lets just say this isn't your average RPG this is for the hardcore of hardcore RPG players. You WILL DIE in this game many MANY times before you can get anywhere. You will get frustrated and want to return it broken into a million little pieces but don't. The rewards far out weigh the frustration I think. This was one of the most satisfying games to play in a long time and I haven't played this hard in a while.
I really can't do this game justice in words all I can really say that if you love a challenge and I really mean challenge pick this game up and make sure your kid brother isn't around to hear you curse the game up and down.

Strapped for cash and want to invest in a game that is just going to keep you from socializing for weeks on end? Then Fallout 3 is a great game for you to play, that is if you like RPG's and watching headshots in s-l-o-w m-o-t-i-o-n. I will have to admit though I did have to go back and get this game a second time before I actually got into it though so just tough out the first, I'd say 3-5 hours, maybe even less than that, until you get to the meat of the game.
You start out as a baby and then grow up fast as your father leaves the Vault. You go off in search after him and then it's an open world from there. You can go almost anywhere and find a lot of stuff to kill. Exploring is almost endless and finding rare guns starts to become addicting. This is one of those games that unfortunately can only be played solo, but you do get a companion in the game finding him is difficult without the help of the internet.

Do you hate your life? Probably not, but you probably do wish some of the choices you've made have been a little different ones no? Well Mass Effect 1 and 2 have that same type of effect on the game play itself. Every action you take will have its consequences and whether you want to be the good guy or the bad guy or even a little of both depending on the situation there is something for you here.
These two games are part of a trilogy that will keep you wanting more. Both 1 and 2 have great story lines and can be played separate but to get the full effect of the game I recommend playing the first one and then loading your character to the second one. The experience is beyond words to me, you will see and hear things that have taken place from your actions on the first one and that is something I have yet to experience on any game thus far. It really does have a different feel when you know that something that you did on the first game has affected your options in the second game.
If you love RPGs and have a thing for shooters as well this will be a great game to get a spectacular story line and experience out of!

Metal Gear Solid 4
If you've played any of Hideo Kojima's MGS series you've played this game already, if you haven't you really can't call yourself a gamer until you have played at least this one.
This game has one of the most convoluted story lines that will have you thinking...how do they come up with this stuff? The story line to the MGS series is rich and deep that it will engulf you. To get the most out of this game I recommend playing some of the PS2 and PSone titles in this order: MGS3 Snake Eater, MGS 1, and then MGS2 which number two isn't going to be a big one on the story of Solid Snake but it will become as the Raiden story progresses. You owe it to yourself to play these games and get a piece of Video Game history in your veins.
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Do you love destruction? Do you enjoy leading a rebellion? Do you like pummeling building, people cars with a sledge hammer to cause utter chaos? Well then this game is the game for you.
This game has all the elements that make for a good rage release when you've had a bad day. Get home throw in Red Faction in the PS3 and start some destruction!!!!! My favorite part about this game is that it contains real world physics and buildings will collapse if the right structural points are destroyed with minimal ammo used, should that happen to fail use the sledge hammer!
Now normally I don't play games on easy but this is one of those games that I would recommend playing in this manner. For one it makes it easier to just continue destroying buildings and military vehicles and two it becomes a real pain to have to restart the mission that you are on over and over again. Red Faction: Guerrilla is a great play and has great re-playability for those of us on a tight budget.

Super Street Fighter IV
If you were born in the eighties or earlier you probably remember Street Fighter 2. Now take what you experienced there and multiply that by 10, and you will have some idea of what SS4 is all about.
I do warn though, that this game is more of you versus the world when it comes to Online game play there are though a few options that allow you to play as teams or sit in the lobby and watch others fight which really gives it that arcade style feel we had in the arcades when they existed. It is a fighting game in which envelops you to try your own style of fighting whether it be defensive or all out offensive with your character of choice (Go Delta Red)! But this game has almost an infinite amount of re playability just from the fact that you will almost never win all your matches, not only that but it also has tutorials on advanced combos to help you practice the intricacies of advanced fighting techniques.
A must play for any one who hasn't tried fighting games, or has some experience with the old Street Fighter games!
